A UFC pay-per-view in Boston? It could happen — and probably will before too long, according to fighting insiders. Mixed martial arts events are legal in Massachusetts; World Championship Fighting, a rough equivalent of baseball’s Triple-A level, competes in the state all the time. But UFC itself won’t compete anywhere it’s not officially regulated.
